(Cape Town, 21 January 2016) Online entries for the 2016 Cape Town Cycle Tour Junior event are now open.
The annual Cape Town Cycle Tour Junior, supported by Spur and Just Juice, is taking place on Saturday, 5 March 2016 at Youngsfield Military Base in Wynberg, with five distances on offer, sure to suit the skill and fitness levels of all children who love to ride.
The 1.7km fun ride will introduce youngsters between the ages of 0 and 6 years to the basics of cycling. The older kids between the ages of 6 and 12 years can attempt the longer 2.5km, 5km, 7.5km or 10km routes. These routes offer keen riders an exciting challenge that is sure to help them develop their cycling skills and get their legs moving!
Parents must accompany the 1.7km route entrants on foot, while the longer route entrants can be accompanied by a parent on a bike. It’s important to note that the “no helmet, no ride” rule applies to both parents and riders for all routes.
The day promises tons of excitement. From the rides and lucky draw prizes to the exciting shows, there will be many great activities guaranteed to keep all ages entertained on the day.
Number collection will take place at registration between Friday, 26 February and Friday, 4 March 2016 at Canal Walk Shopping Centre between 9am and 9pm. This registration venue will also offer a number of activities to keep young tots busy while they wait to collect their ride packs.
Online entries close on Monday, 22 February, but participants can still enter at Canal Walk during the Registration period. Please note that NO entries will be processed on the day of the event.
