ACVV Huis Disa, Joy Riders
Category: Social Services
All entries already sell to riders who will help us. The cost per rider was R1500.00 and more
The first residents moved in on July 18, 1968. There is accommodation for 42 elderly which 17 elderly people are cared for in the frail care. For pensioners, inflation negatively affects them and funding is always a problem.
The management strives to build House Disa so it’s a well-equipped house that can provide good service to the elderly. The house is located in a rural area but help and support remains a problem.
The Joy Riders is a group of enthusiastic cyclists who have pledged their support for Huis Disa by participating in the Cape Town Cycle Tour to raise funds. Funds raised will be used for upgrading the frail care center.
