South Africans Against Drunk Driving are an international non-profit organization, that specializes in drink driving. Our pledge is to save as many lives as we can on South African roads, from these preventable tragedies. Approximately 18 000 people are killed annually & 150 000 injured in car crashes. 65% of these are caused by alcohol, and this percentage is twice the world average. Many of these victims are under the age of 30.This figure is predicted to rise by 80% by 2020, and pedestrians, cyclists, motorcyclists and runners are especially at risk.
We have 15 spaces in our group and our group entry fee is R1800 (R800 for the ticket and R1000 donation). Please note: Section 18A tax certificates are available on request for the donation.
To join our team, please contact Mellisa on (081 5296546, 033 343 1853, firstname.lastname@example.org) to ride for SADD.
Cost of tickets include:
- a cycling shirt
- a multi-use breathalyser (at the value of R800)
We hope to contribute to the safety of cyclists all over South Africa, especially as they are vulnerable road users. Help us build awareness around safe cycling and respecting cyclists on the road, because they have rights too!
Owning a breathalyser can save your life and we are committed to bringing down the road carnage that happens on our roads. You are the difference, and every right decision that you make not only saves your life, but the lives of those around you.
