Already looking forward to the 2024 Cape Town Cycle Tour? Here’s your chance to beat the crowds and inflation and secure your spot on the start line, at the current 2023 entry fee. For a limited time only, we have opened up early bird entries for the 2024 Cape Town Cycle Tour, exclusive to paid up Pedal Power Association members. The first 3 000 paid up PPA members who renew their membership or join for the 2023 / 2024 financial year will pay this year’s Cape Town Cycle Tour’s rate of R755 to enter next year’s event. Once the limit has been reached, early bird entries will close and general entries will open in September. 

The 2024 Cape Town Cycle Tour will take place on 10 March 2024. 

Renew your PPA Membership

Memberships for the 2023 / 2024 financial year are now open. The Pedal Power Association is pleased to announce that they have kept the PPA Membership fees at 50% of what they would’ve been in 2023/2024 had Covid-19 not devastated the cycling industry. Your annual membership contribution enables PPA to provide you as a member with a wide range of benefits and to further expand their Safe Cycling, Bike4All and Cool Kid on a Bike initiatives as well as enable them to remain committed to promoting cycling and the interests of cyclists. 

* Main member, spouse, unlimited children U18 living in the same home.  ** Bike4All helps put more people on bikes to share the economic, social, environmental and health benefits of cycling with fellow South Africans. Your voluntary contribution will support PPA’s partnership with the Bicycling Empowerment Network (BEN) to get affordable bikes into more communities along with safety training, bike maintenance initiatives and support.   *** Safe Cycling: Your voluntary contribution will support the ongoing work to educate motorists and other road users to ‘stay wider of the rider’. PPA also campaigns to strengthen laws and regulations to safeguard cyclists; lobby for improved signage for cyclists and motorists in hotspots; and provide reflective safety gear and helmets to cyclists in low-income communities.
