Owned and staged by the Cape Town Cycle Tour Trust, this is the largest, timed cycling event in the world. On the morning of Sunday, 11 March, 35 000 cyclists will line up below Table Mountain to ride 109km through some of the world’s most spectacular scenery. The tour’s main beneficiaries are the Pedal Power Association (PPA) and Rotary Club of Claremont, which are equal stakeholders in the Cape Town Cycle Tour Trust. Riders must turn 13 years old during the year of the event (or 11 years to ride on a tandem with an adult).
