The first ever 42km Cape Town Cycle Tour was a huge success with riders taking to Cape Town’s Nelson Mandela Boulevard and M3 highway. The route followed the M3, also known locally as the Blue Route, and turned back towards the city at the end of the M3. The atmosphere was jubilant, with numerous newbies, beaming beginners and tenacious teens enjoying the shorter option.

The inaugural 42km Cape Town Cycle Tour set off with racing categories for the Under 15 Boys and Under 17 Girls. Ronaldo Levendall from Ocean View took the win from Sven Tjallingii in a sprint finish with a time of 1:17:38 for the Under 15 Boys .
Congratulations to the following riders for a stellar performance on the 42km route.

Proud Cape Town Cycle Tour finishers, we caught up with Mayor @geordin.hill.lewis who took part in the first ever 42km route and Premier @alan.winde who completed the 109km distance. Thank you to the wonderful supporters and people of Cape Town for keeping the Cycle Tour vibe strong along the route.
